The ClimaTech Accelerator 2025 is a six-month growth accelerator designed to scale up Egypt’s most promising climate-tech startups tackling plastic pollution and circular economy challenges.

Powered by Nile University- NilePreneurs and ADCB, the program supports 10 high-potential startups driving innovation across single-use plastics (SUPs) and plastics in construction.

Through tailored business mentorship, technical support, and access to funding networks, ClimaTech empowers founders to turn climate-driven ideas into scalable, market-ready ventures that deliver measurable environmental and economic impact.

Our Focus

Egypt’s plastics ecosystem holds massive potential for innovation. ClimaTech 2025 focuses on scalable solutions that close the loop on plastic waste through new materials, smarter products, and circular business models.

The accelerator is structured around three tracks:

Material Innovation: Startups developing recyclable, biodegradable, or bio-based materials, including rPET, agro-waste blends, composite boards, and bioplastics for packaging or construction.
Product Innovation: Ventures redesigning packaging or construction components to minimize plastic inputs, extend product lifecycles, and promote reuse.
Business Model Innovation: Startups enabling collection, reuse, and recycling through digital platforms, deposit-return schemes (DRS), traceability systems, or plastic-waste-as-a-service solutions.

Who Should Apply

We’re looking for growth-stage startups and SMEs ready to scale climate-tech innovations in Egypt’s plastics value chain.

You’re the right fit if you:

Are legally registered in Egypt
Have a validated solution with existing users, sales, or pilots
Operate in plastics, packaging, recycling, or construction sectors
Demonstrate clear climate or sustainability impact
Are led by a committed team capable of scaling nationally or regionally within 12–24 months

Eligible venture types include:

Recyclers (mechanical, chemical, or hybrid)
Bio-based or compostable materials producers
Packaging and product redesign innovators
Construction-tech startups using recycled plastics
Digital tools for logistics, traceability, or B2B waste management

Program Timeline

Application

Applicants will conform to eligibility criteria to assess their innovative idea and apply.

Judging & Selection

Participants will present their products/solutions. Judges will evaluate them and the companies’ ability to manage and finance the product to market and generate revenue from its sales.

Initial filtration

In this phase, the applicants will be shortlisted according to the criteria developed earlier.

Startups Acceleration Cycle

The winners will get a range of technical and business support services to support companies’ growth. This includes training sessions by industry experts, followed by 1-1 mentorship sessions.

Bootcamp

The applicants will receive training about ClimaTech, product localization & preparing their pitches.

Graduation & Demo Day

In a showcasing event, companies will be given the opportunity to pitch to potential customers, partners, investors, and other stakeholders, giving them the necessary exposure for their next growth phase.
